INTIAL SKETCHES
Through exploration with typefaces I began sketeches for my wordmark.

The final shows interrupted construction as a way to exemplify breaking the cookie-cutter and a foreward motion omitting how pop music is always moving foreward.

VISUAL SYSTEM & LAYOUT EXPLORATION

The main focus of my publication is pop music. To keep the theme going I wanted my cover to include something reminiscent of physical music. My covers include a strip that is reminiscent of an OBI strip seen on Japanese copies of physical music with my own spin including the wordmark, a barcode and featured articles

LAYOUT EXPLORATIONS
I cultivated the overall look, feel, and visual hierarchy of the publication, while the featured article explored forty years of Madonna through the guiding question, “What does 40 years of Madonna look like?”
